Description
Overwatch 2 is a hero shooter where players are divided into two teams and select a "hero" from a list of characters. Characters are divided into classes:
"damage", which is responsible for attacking actions; "support" responsible for healing and buffs; and a "tank" in charge of protecting the team. Each character has a unique set of skills,
consisting of active, passive and ultimate abilities. Overwatch 2, like its predecessor, is primarily focused on PvP battles in several different modes and maps, and includes both regular and ranked competitive matches.
The main difference from the first game was the removal of one tank slot per team, which reduced the number of players per team to five.
According to game lead Aaron Keller, the developers hope that the loss of one tank will speed up gameplay, as they felt the original six-player model made gameplay slow.
The new maps have been designed to provide more cover to compensate for the reduction in tank defenses. In addition, damage dealers now have increased movement speed, supports regenerate slowly, and tanks have been redesigned to play a more offensive role.
The heroes have been visually updated to reflect the changes in their appearance that have occurred over several years of playtime since the events of the first game.
Additionally, the game has a ping system that allows you to direct the attention of team members to certain points on the map.
